In the spring of '05 I took a web art class which sought to explore the internet as an artistic medium. The class never really got beyond html but it gave me a lot of freedom to learn on my own. Even though these projects seem silly now, I decided to leave them up to show where my web designing began.

In the first project I was given the task of discribing a place without images. I chose my hometown mountain, Mt. Tamalpias. I used some quotes, statistics, and I created a picture by coloring cells in a table.

The second project was just the oppisite: no text. I chose to portray Mt. Whistler in British Colombia by using some panoramas I had taken the previous summer.

For the third project "Text & Image", I chose to describe my dorm room. I realized that my room was filled with text in the form of product labels, old homework, and even logos on my clothes.
